This Independence Day, we didn’t just reflect on freedom — we passed it on.
The Misfits Camp (TMC) is not just preparing neurodivergent creatives for the workforce. The Misfits Camp is creating a brave space where they are empowered to explore, express, and take ownership of their creativity. Because true readiness doesn’t come from following rules, it comes from learning how to trust yourself.
For this year’s Independence Day campaign, TMC took inspiration from the rich, layered history of the Philippines. Campers were each given a historical prompt and then complete independence to research, interpret, and create. The results? A diverse body of work tied together by a common campaign theme, yet shining with individual identity. Visual artists brought historical stories to life through their unique styles, while writers crafted thoughtful captions that gave context and voice to the visuals. Together, they created something more than just content, they created a collective expression of freedom, identity, and creative ownership.
This campaign is a glimpse into what the Misfits Camp stands for: freedom with guidance, creativity with intention, and growth with empathy. It’s about supporting neurodivergent creatives not by limiting them, but by trusting them to lead. Here, they don’t just teach craft, but also nurture confidence, collaboration, and the courage to be different.
Because freedom isn’t just about what you can do. It’s about being trusted enough to try. And that’s the kind of independence every creative — especially the misfits — deserves.
